Tamak Nala recedes after washing away BRO bridge

Tamak Nala in Chamoli returned to normal flow after an August 10 surge washed away a Border Roads Organisation valley bridge on the Jyotirmath-Malari road. A BRO employee and a vehicle were swept away, and search operations continue. Seventeen Niti Valley villages, including Dronagiri, Niti and Gamshali, remain cut off while SDRF, NDRF and ITBP build a Hume pipe route.
