Syngenta pairs with IIT Ropar on farm AI

Syngenta has partnered with IIT Ropar and Annam.ai to build AI tools for farmers. Group CIO Feroz Sheikh said work covers risk intelligence, biological innovation and outcome tracking. The partners ran HACKCORE 2026, a three-day hackathon. About 2,800 researchers took part, and six teams got 36 hours from September 10 to 12. Team SeedCoders won with AgroVani AI.
