Puducherry launches VB-G RAM G with Rs 347 minimum wage

Puducherry on July 3, 2026, launched the VB-G RAM G rural employment scheme at Villianur, replacing MGNREGA. Chief Minister N Rangasamy said workers will receive Rs 347 daily wage with working days increased to 125 per year from 100. It has 66,612 active workers. Centre allocated Rs 40.56 crore and the government will contribute Rs 14 crore for wages.
