Doctors say neuropathy hits 10% over 60

Peripheral neuropathy affects about 1 percent of people and nearly 10 percent of adults above 60, neurologist P. Vijaya said at a Guntur CME on Sunday. About 200 doctors attended the Lalitha series on advances in peripheral neuropathy. Satish Khadilkar of Bombay Hospital discussed nodopathies that can cause gait unsteadiness, tremors and rapid weakness of all four limbs.
