Wangchuk ends 26-day fast after written assurances

Activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day hunger strike at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram around midnight on July 23, after Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh delivered written assurances from the government. His wife Gitanjali Angmo and senior Apex Body Leh Ladakh leaders were present as he broke the fast, calling it the beginning of accountability.
