The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday granted interim bail till October 20 to Milan Pradhan, Congress candidate for the Nandigram bypoll. Justice Tirthankar Ghosh noted arrest after nomination and cases from the 2007 Nandigram agitation. The bypoll is on October 6. Mamata Banerjee backed Pradhan after her faction candidate withdrew. The State opposed bail citing murder allegations.
