Incoming Air India CEO pledges safety-first turnaround

Incoming Air India CEO Tewolde Gebremariam told a Monday townhall he will put safety first and get basics like on-time flights and baggage right. Borrowing a US political phrase, he said the airline will Make Air India Great Again. He still awaits regulatory clearances before succeeding Campbell Wilson after a Rs 22,238 crore fiscal 2026 loss.
