IMD sees all-India rain below normal through September 23

The India Meteorological Department said all-India rainfall is expected to remain below normal during September 17-23. A fresh Bay of Bengal low is expected around Saturday and may intensify into a monsoon depression. East, Central and Peninsular India could see normal to above-normal rain during September 24-30. Monsoon withdrawal from parts of West Rajasthan may begin around Saturday, IMD said.
