Defence export SOP eased, OGEL now covers all countries

The Ministry of Defence simplified defence export rules on Friday, expanding OGEL coverage from 41 countries to all except sensitive or UN embargo nations. OGEL validity rose from two to three years. Stakeholder consultation was dropped for non-lethal exports to most destinations and for items sent to international tenders. Three export licence SOPs were consolidated into one framework.
