Israel defence minister says troops stay indefinitely in three zones

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said on July 1 that IDF forces will remain in security zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza indefinitely to protect residents from jihadist elements. Katz spoke at a function honouring soldiers killed in the 2006 Lebanon war. He reiterated that Iran would be struck with full force if it attacked Israel over Lebanon operations.
