Sachin Ahir joins Shinde Sena as Mahayuti council deputy candidate

Shiv Sena UBT leader Sachin Ahir filed nomination for Maharashtra Legislative Council deputy chairperson on July 1 as the Mahayuti candidate, formally switching to Eknath Shinde's faction. The move follows six UBT Lok Sabha MPs defecting to Shinde's camp days earlier. Ahir was a close associate of Aaditya Thackeray since joining Sena in 2019.
