Opposition parties on September 23 called for impeachment proceedings against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. An Indian Express report said Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi recorded objections at least 14 times over ten months. They said major decisions were taken without their knowledge. Election Commission sources said all decisions, including SIR, were unanimous.
