Rupee's long losing run may halt on relief from oil and US yields

Reuters··21 May

The rupee's long losing streak may ease after oil prices cooled and U.S. Treasury yields retreated, traders said on May 21. The currency had neared 97 per dollar amid Iran war-driven crude spikes and equity outflows. WTI traded lower after Trump signalled final-stage Iran talks, while the 10-year U.S. yield slipped toward 4.59 percent on the day.
