A day after Home Minister Amit Shah said a Uniform Civil Code would reach all 21 NDA-ruled states before the 2029 Lok Sabha polls, most allies backed the move. TDP Lok Sabha leader Lavu Krishna Devarayalu said the party would support it after stakeholder talks. JD(U) leader Shyam Rajak said Nitish Kumar supports the Bill nationally but will block implementation.
