Vande Bharat sleeper rollout delayed as designs await approval

The rollout of 120 Vande Bharat sleeper trains by Kinet Railway Solutions has been delayed as final train designs are yet to be approved, Economic Times reported on July 18. A German consultant has not furnished approved designs. Kinet said the prototype will be ready by end 2026, a delay of more than two years.
