BJP names poll in-charges for UP, Punjab, Gujarat

BJP president Nitin Nabin on 18 August 2026 appointed Vinod Tawde as in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, with national secretary Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel as co-in-charge. Satish Poonia was named in-charge for Punjab and Tarun Chugh for Gujarat. The party said the appointments take effect immediately. Other state in-charges will be named later, with the present prabhari arrangement continuing until then.
