US man held near Nepal border without passport

The Sashastra Seema Bal arrested Jordan Brown, 36, who claimed to be a US citizen and former Navy member, near border pillar 516 in the Mainihwa-Sonauli area of Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday while he was attempting to cross into Nepal without valid travel documents. He told officers he had lost his passport earlier in Thailand during his travels.
