Nepal raises over NPR 10 billion via digital relief

Nepal's Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund took in more than NPR 10 billion by day 11 after the August 26 Bhotekoshi floods. Fonepay processed 8,15,219 domestic QR payments worth NPR 2.095 billion, The Economic Times reported. International cards added more than NPR 1.4 billion across 93,850 transactions. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle said overseas donors can pay by card.
