Chinese firm builds AI tool to predict dissent risk

Chinese company Geedge Networks is developing AI technology that analyses location data and internet use to identify citizens who may criticise the government, NDTV reported, citing leaked documents and the New York Times. Vanderbilt researchers said the tool would generate profiles and assess possible risk among Chinese citizens using location and online behaviour signals together.
