India ranks 125th in Global Passport Index 2026

India ranked 125th out of 197 countries in the 2026 Global Passport Index published by Global Citizen Solutions, slipping one place from last year. Its composite score rose to 45.1, a five-year high. The index ranks passports on mobility, investment potential and quality of life. Indian holders have visa-free or on-arrival access to about 26 destinations.
