Three Nagercoil jail warders arrested after prisoner death

Police on July 14 arrested Nagercoil jail chief warder Jegan and warders Sivakumar and Thiruvudai Nambi after remand prisoner Sabari Varman, 34, died on July 12 under suspicious circumstances. Varman, a differently abled man from Eeththankaadu, was remanded on July 9 for alleged gutka possession. Post-mortem found injuries at several places on his body.
