Jio eyes September 2027 satellite test flight

Reliance Jio is planning a September 2027 test flight for its 1,600-satellite LEO network, sources told The Economic Times. The company will send a few satellites to check hardware and software before mass deployment in early 2028. IN-SPACe has approved Jio's plan. Around 90-100 minimum coverage satellites may follow within two to three quarters after the test launch.
