Supreme Court to name panel on CJP Parliament march

The Supreme Court said on 18 August 2026 it will form a committee led by a retired Supreme Court judge, with a former High Court chief justice and a senior police officer, to inquire into the 20 July CJP march toward Parliament. A bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant said the constitution order would follow on 19 August.
