UGC NET 2026: 4,000 qualify for JRF, 97,000 for PhD

The National Testing Agency announced UGC NET results for 84 subjects on Friday. Of 6.07 lakh candidates, over 97,000 qualified for PhD admissions and over 4,000 for JRF. NTA ordered fresh exams for English, Commerce and Sociology after question paper errors. Re-exams are scheduled for 9 and 10 September. The NET determines eligibility for assistant professor posts.
