Agencies detain 253 in 14-state network sweep

Security agencies detained 253 people across 14 states on 12 August in a coordinated operation against the Pakistan-based Shahzad Bhatti Network. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said more than 200 operatives were arrested ahead of Independence Day. Uttar Pradesh recorded 62 detentions, followed by Haryana 52, Delhi 51 and Punjab 44. Fresh FIRs were registered in Delhi and Karnataka.
