Karnataka CEO denies mass SIR charge on electoral rolls

Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbu Kumar on July 8 rejected BJP and JD(S) allegations that Special Intensive Revision was conducted through mass SIR exercises, The Hindu reported. He said over 11 crore enumeration forms were printed in nine days and show-cause notices went to 35 booth level officers over alleged lapses after complaints since July 1.
