NC and BJP pass Kargil hill council budget together

The National Conference and BJP joined forces in Ladakh's Kargil Autonomous Hill Development Council on July 16 to pass the district's annual budget. Twenty of 30 councillors voted in favour including all 12 NC members, six BJP councillors, one Congress councillor and one independent. Nine Congress councillors and one independent stayed away. The move strengthened CEC Mohammad Jaffar Akhoon.
