US national arrested near India-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh

Sashastra Seema Bal detained Jordan Brown, 36, from California near border pillar 516 in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, on July 11 while he allegedly tried to cross into Nepal without travel documents. Brown entered India by sea in November 2025 and had been residing in Goa. Police booked him under the Immigration and Foreigners Act sections 21 and 23.
