Bangladesh seeks SAARC revival at BIMSTEC security meet

At the fifth BIMSTEC National Security Chiefs meeting in New Delhi on July 16, Bangladesh called for SAARC to work alongside BIMSTEC on regional challenges. India has promoted BIMSTEC since SAARC stalled after 2016. Member states adopted maritime humanitarian assistance guidelines and endorsed guiding principles for maritime law enforcement agencies at the meeting chaired by NSA Ajit Doval.
