RBI raises FY27 inflation forecast to 5.1%

The RBI Monetary Policy Committee raised its FY27 CPI inflation projection to 5.1%, up 50 basis points from its previous 4.6% estimate, NDTV Profit reported. Governor Sanjay Malhotra flagged global supply disruptions from the US-Iran conflict, elevated energy prices, subnormal monsoon risks and possible El Nino conditions.
