India CPI inflation rises to 4.82% in August

India's consumer price inflation rose to 4.82 percent in August from 4.45 percent in July, data showed on September 14. Food inflation rose to 5.95 percent. Wholesale inflation rose to 9.92 percent. Producer output prices were 9.81 percent higher than a year earlier. The RBI Monetary Policy Committee meets October 5 to 7. The repo rate is 5.25 percent.
