IMD issues red warning as Odisha rain continues

The India Meteorological Department issued a red warning for very heavy to extremely heavy rain in Odisha on August 13 as a well-marked low-pressure area lay over the North Bay of Bengal. Fishermen were told not to venture into the North Bay and along the Odisha-West Bengal-Bangladesh coast until August 14. Mayurbhanj closed educational institutions for the day.
