Indian seafarer's last text said ship had safely crossed Hormuz

Marine engineer Heramb Karmarkar, 30, from Pune, texted his family that the ship had safely crossed the Gulf of Hormuz before an Iranian strike killed him on the Cyprus-flagged vessel GFX Galaxy on July 13. Ten of 11 Indian crew were rescued and one remains missing. His family on July 15 confirmed his death and requested his body be brought home intact.
