US denies Iran claim on Hormuz tanker mine hits

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on July 18 that two oil tankers trying to pass through a minefield south of the Strait of Hormuz exploded and caught fire. US Central Command responded on X saying like most IRGC claims this is false. The Guards also said four ships were stopped during a combined missile and drone operation in the strait.
