Supreme Court seeks commercial case pendency data

The Supreme Court on September 24 sought updated data on pending commercial cases and commercial court infrastructure nationwide. Chief Justice Surya Kant and justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohana are hearing a plea by the Indian Commercial and Arbitration Bar Association. Notices went to states and 10 high courts on August 10. Five high courts have two weeks to comply.
