Cabinet approves Rs 25,000 crore Ganga Varuna corridors

The Union Cabinet on July 16 approved two elevated road projects for Varanasi with a combined investment of nearly Rs 25,000 crore. The 46-km Ganga Elevated Corridor connects NH-19 with the Varanasi Ring Road along the riverfront. The 43.2-km Varuna Corridor estimated at Rs 11,000 crore links NH-31 with the ring road along the Varuna river.
