Mamata camp files new TMC names before October 6 bypolls

Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress emailed new name and symbol choices to the Election Commission at 11:36 pm on Thursday under protest. The interim order bars both factions from the All India Trinamool Congress name and flowers and grass symbol for October 6 bypolls. Polls cover Rejinagar and Nandigram. The Commission said Paragraph 15 proceedings cannot finish before those contests.
