Grand Canyon flash flood leaves 15 people unaccounted

A flash flood hit Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch in Grand Canyon National Park on August 29, the National Park Service said. It sought information on about 15 people who may be missing. By Sunday morning, 62 people had been evacuated from Phantom Ranch and the lower North Kaibab Trail. AFP was told no deaths or injuries were reported.

- Hikers described helicopter evacuations after watching debris, including what looked like a bunkhouse, wash past.
