Costume designer Bob Mackie dies at 87

Bob Mackie, the US designer known as the Sultan of Sequins, died on Monday at 87, his Instagram account said. He won nine Emmy Awards and received three Oscar nominations, designing costumes for Cher, Elton John and Tina Turner. Cher wore his Mohawk outfit to the 1986 Oscars. Mackie also sketched the dress Marilyn Monroe wore for her 1962 Happy.
