First Sardar Patel National Unity Award set for October 31

Seven years after the Ministry of Home Affairs instituted the Sardar Patel National Unity Award in September 2019, the first winner is set to be announced on October 31. Over 150 nominations were received this year. Sources said the award will be given by the President alongside the Padma Awards next year. It may have two or three recipients.
