Delhi airport reopens third runway on September 20

Delhi International Airport Limited said Indira Gandhi International Airport will reopen Runway 11R/29L from September 20, 2026. The third runway closed about seven months ago for rehabilitation that began in February 2026. DIAL said regulatory approvals are in place after inspections. The airport handles more than 1,300 flight movements and can cater to 106 million passengers a year.
