Gandak discharge hits 5,43,500 cusecs at Valmikinagar

Bihar's Water Resources Department recorded 5,43,500 cusecs at the Valmikinagar Gandak Barrage at 6 am on Tuesday after Nepal catchment rains. The river set a new Highest Flood Level of 91.25 meters at Bagaha, above the 90.90 meters mark from 2024. Critical breaches hit three sites overnight. Discharge later fell to 191,200 cusecs by 8 am.
