NDTV reported that BJP-backed independent Parimal Nathwani won a Rajya Sabha seat in Jharkhand after cross-voting by MLAs of CPI(ML) and Lalu Yadav's RJD, while JMM's Baijnath Ram secured the other seat with 30 votes.
