Indian shop owner shot dead in Tennessee robbery

On 20 August 2026, 56-year-old Suresh Parsottamdas Patel of Mehsana, Gujarat, was shot dead during a robbery at Ridgecrest Cellars, 2880 Ridgecrest Road, Jackson, Tennessee. Police received the emergency call about 9 pm. His 19-year-old daughter was standing next to him when the shots were fired. The shop had opened only a few days earlier.
