Mets place Christian Scott on 15-day injured list

The New York Mets placed starter Christian Scott on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with left knee inflammation, ending his season. Scott went 4-5 with a 3.85 ERA in 23 starts. The Mets activated reliever Devin Williams, out since August 7 with a right shoulder strain. Manager Andy Green said Scott slipped warming up Saturday and did not report swelling.
