FSSAI tells five-star hotels to tighten food safety

FSSAI has directed five-star hotels holding central licences to comply with food safety and kitchen hygiene rules. At a Tuesday meeting with hotel chefs, officials flagged unhygienic kitchens, expired goods, weak vegetarian segregation and pest entry points. The move follows notices to Delhi hotels JW Marriott and Andaz over pest infestations and expired items. FSSAI said hotel inspections will rise.
