Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aircraft was escorted by an Indonesian Air Force F-16 and Sukhoi-30 fighter jet before landing in Jakarta on July 6, 2026. Modi said on X he was touched by President Prabowo Subianto's gesture of welcoming him at the airport. The leaders will hold discussions to add momentum to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2018.
