Vijay launches women's safety special force

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay launched the Singappen Special Force, a dedicated women's safety unit, and said his government would not tolerate crimes against women. The first phase will receive more than Rs 354 crore, with existing police personnel redeployed initially and 2,500 new posts planned in the second phase.
