UIDAI prepares Aadhaar for 300 million daily checks

UIDAI chairperson Neelkanth Mishra said Aadhaar now handles about 100 million authentications a day and is preparing to scale to 250-300 million. He spoke on Wednesday at the Global Fintech Festival. More than 600 entities use Aadhaar. The Aadhaar app is approaching 60 million downloads, and the authority holds identity data for about 1.44 billion people.
