Barrick Mali unions threaten strikes from September 28 over pay

Unions at Barrick Mining's Loulo-Gounkoto gold complex in Mali issued strike notices risking disruptions from September 28, Reuters reported on September 18. SOMILO and GOUNKOTO workers planned four-day strikes over mission expenses and labour agreements. Catering contractor Food and Events Africa called a five-day strike.
